Ko Tatou Nei - Its who we are!
Care for our community, and the strong connection we all feel to our home is what has driven this project. As a group we wanted to add value to the local community, while showcasing our beautiful gold to the world.

Our main purpose is to add value to the West Coast and enrich the lives of the people who live here.

Small scale alluvial mining in New Zealand is very different from the mining photos you sometimes see on the internet, and we knew we had something unique and awesome to offer. A truly ethical and ecological gold traced to source.

Our mining is small scale, alluvial gold mining – we only use water and gravity to extract our gold, meaning no mercury or cyanide, and because we are alluvial there isn't waste from hardrock. The land is rehabilitated to either productive farmland, forestry, or native trees – often returning to a condition that is far better than it was before it was mined. Using water for mining isn’t a problem here, we are one of the wettest places on earth, so water is a resource we have in abundance.

We deal directly with the miners; there is no middleman and therefore no contamination in the supply chain. We know exactly where the gold has come from, including the permit number and we trace this all the way through the production process.
